Good afternoon everyone!
We at Out of this World Music School want to thank you all for your continued devotion to music. With every lesson, our passion for teaching is renewed and we owe it all to our outstanding students. Parents, we thank you for making it all possible! Over the past few months, we have had a ton of incoming students based on your referrals and we are blown away by the resounding support. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all so much. We can not say enough how much we treasure the sense of community at the schools.
2017 SPRING RECITAL:
The 2017 spring recital will be held on Sunday May 7th at Hanover's in Pflugerville: 108 E Main St, Pflugerville, TX 78660. Like last time, we will be splitting this recital into 4 different groups: 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 4:00 pm, & 6:00 pm. We want to remind everyone that if you need to participate in a specific recital time please respond by April 9th to ensure your desired placement. To make sure all requests are processed, please email Reema at email@example.com who will be organizing the recital lineup. If you do not request a specific time, no worries, we will schedule you/your child during the most ideal time slot. April 9th will also be the deadline for song choice and t-shirt orders.
We ask that you please attend your recital from start to finish. Each student works incredibly hard to prepare for their performance and we feel they have earned a full round of applause. Also, group photos will be taken at the end of each time slot, so please plan to stick around until the end of your group's recital. We have changed the length of recitals from 3 hours to 2 hours in hopes that it will be easier to do so.
If this is your first recital to attend you are in for a treat! Make sure to invite your family and friends for a relaxed day of sharing music and once in a lifetime performances. Dress attire is casual and the event is open invite. More information regarding photo packages and t-shirts will come in the next newsletter.
If you or your child is interested in collaborating with their peers, please reach out to us. We love to see people playing music together and do our best to pair like minded individuals. Remember, although you are limited to one song per instrument at recitals, you can play in multiple songs when collaborating!
UPCOMING SCHOOL VACATIONS:
At Out of this World Music School, we do our very best to align our school closures with common vacation times.
Spring Break Vacation - Both locations will be closed from March 13th through March 19th. Classes will resume on March 20th at normal times.
Summer vacation - This year, instructor's summer weeks off will vary due to differing travel plans. Your instructor's week off will fall in either June or July and will be announced the first week of May. Michael David Garcia is the one wild card; as some of you may already know, Michael and his wife are expecting a baby boy in late July! He will be taking his summer vacation week to correspond with the new baby. Michael will do his best to plan this week off in advance but I'm sure you may know, babies don't always act according to plan! We thank you for your understanding in this matter.
We are so excited to announce that we are now offering lessons in saxophone, clarinet, bassoon, flute, trumpet and trombone! If anyone is interested please reach out regarding scheduling! Starting in March, these instruments will be offered at both locations.
